Coming soon: Matariki Winter Reading

Mānawatia a Matariki mā te pānui i tēnei hōtoke – celebrate Matariki with some winter reading.

Our Matariki Winter reading campaign, aimed at creating opportunities and showcasing the best Aotearoa NZ published books over Matariki and the winter months, is in the pipeline.

We’ve been receiving publisher submissions for our catalogue – and it’s exciting to see compelling titles for adults and children, across a variety of categories, as they arrive in our inbox. We’ll notify all submitting publishers about acceptance of titles on 18 May.

This year Matariki stretches from 11 to 22 of July – with the public holiday on 14 July. Our campaign launches on 1 July with an insert of the catalogue to 30,000 New Zealand Listener subscribers. Booksellers New Zealand are supporting this campaign too and bookshops will be kept up-to-date through The Read newsletter and invited to order catalogues.

Keep an eye on our social media pages too for our digital promotion and shareable social media assets.
