Award-winning author Jacqueline Bublitz to host new online book club celebrating New Zealand voices
New Zealand library patrons are invited to connect, read and celebrate homegrown storytelling with the launch of a brand-new monthly digital book club on Libby, hosted by award-winning author Jacqueline Bublitz.
Open to all New Zealand libraries that offer the Libby app and their communities, the new book club will shine a spotlight on New Zealand authors and publishers wherever possible, while also connecting readers with outstanding international voices. The format will mirror Libby’s popular book clubs in Australia, delivering engaging and accessible monthly Zoom discussions that readers can join from anywhere in the country.
Each month, a featured title will be selected and made available to borrow on Libby through participating libraries, with no waitlists, making it easy for readers to take part. Sessions will offer the opportunity to hear directly from authors, gain behind-the-scenes insights, and connect with fellow book lovers in a welcoming and relaxed online setting.

The monthly sessions will connect readers from across the country, creating a truly national conversation around literature — all from the comfort of home.

Libby Reads with Jacqueline Bublitz is available to any New Zealand library patron whose library offers the Libby app and participates in the book club.
