Kete relaunch success!

We’re very excited by the success of the Kete Books relaunch. A dedicated marketing campaign ran from public launch of the site in early July to mid August with strong results.

A critical aspect is the growth in newsletter subscribers — our newsletter audience, a key driver for website traffic, has grown 53% to 6,000 subscribers. And while engagement can slide as a platform audiences grow, this hasn’t been the case. The Kete newsletter open rate is up more than ten percent to an average of 54% since July launch, testament to the interesting articles, features and reviews — and of course amazing books.

Kete’s purpose is to showcase books by authors from Aotearoa to readers in Aotearoa. And the success of the relaunch, and Kete Books on an ongoing basis, mean that more New Zealand readers have the opportunity to consider, be inspired by, read and buy New Zealand books.
