The Mātātuhi Foundation’s October funding round for 2024 closes on 31 October.

Seed funding grants of between $5k-$20k are available for projects that expand the reach and engagement of New Zealand writers with New Zealand readers. For an application to be successful, the project applied for must achieve one of the following objectives:

1. Help to develop a sustainable literary platform to grow awareness and readership of NZ books and writers

2. Increase engagement with NZ children’s literature

3. Build access to and awareness of NZ’s literary legacy
