We are seeking LGBTQIA+ creatives and community members with a love of books and queer writing (embracing all genres, mediums, and platforms) to join the SSBD Board.

The Ernest Scott Prize for History is awarded annually to the book judged to be the most distinguished contribution to the history of Australia and New Zealand or to the history of colonisation published in the previous year.

Mātātuhi Foundation supports Kiwi writers to develop new and imaginative ways to increase their reach and engagement with Kiwi readers via seed funding grants of up to $5,000.

Lyttleton writer Ben Brown is announced as Te Awhi Rito New Zealand Reading Ambassador for children and young people.
